• Increase your value with Australia’s most popular training qualification!!
Have you worked within the last two years as a qualified teacher, as a lecturer within higher education or as an enterprise trainer, and now want to move into adult vocational education? This pathway is based upon recognition of prior learning (RPL) for suitably experienced training facilitators, plus gap unit training delivered via face-to-face class or via live and interactive webinars. This option is restricted to experienced school teachers, trainers and presenters who are looking to expand their abilities, or who desire a ‘sea change’ into the world of adult education within the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification allows you to train and assess all nationally-recognised qualifications (i.e., from Certificate I through to Advanced Diploma) and units of competency within your vocational areas of competence.
This RPL plus gap training process was designed specifically for teachers and experienced trainers. It incorporates RPL to cover the skills and knowledge already possessed by experienced teachers (there’s no wasting time learning things you already know!) and provides training only for the gap knowledge and gap skills. This allows you to receive your TAE40116 qualification with the least amount of hassle.
You must first check your eligibility for the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment via the Teachers’ RPL and gap training course by submitting our online eligibility form.
There are many advantages in completing your TAE40116 via this program:
The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment consists of the following units of competency.

(Students may extend the duration of their enrolment on a month-by-month basis – extra fees apply as detailed in our schedule of fees.) Students may complete and submit their assessment workbooks at any time during their enrolment.|
|Assessment Turnaround||The turnaround time for assessment submissions received by Plenty Training is approximately 20 working days from the date it is received. This time frame can vary depending on the number of assessment submissions being received at any given time. Once a student is deemed competent in all units they will be issued with their qualification within 30 calendar days.|
|Workload||The Course Workload & Assessment table available in the Units Tab above summarises the anticipated student workload as per our Training and Assessment Strategy for this qualification. *RPL is not automatically granted. There is a requirement to complete short answer questions for all three units of competency. Some of these questions will relate to Adult Learning Theories and Principles and may require some research. If RPL for TAEDEL402 cannot be achieved, it can be trained via webinar from within the Learner Portal.
^A practical assessment activity is defined as an assessment task where you must have access to other individuals, groups or a qualified trainer and assessor to meet the task requirements. For example short answer questions are not considered a practical activity.
The following table summarises the anticipated student workload as per our Training and Assessment Strategy for this qualification.
