TAESS00014 Enterprise Trainer - Presenting Skill Set (RPL/RCC kit for TAE40110 holders)

An interim solution if you won't have the TAE40116 or
the TAE40110 plus the two new core units by 1 July 2019!

Are you going to find yourself non-compliant come 1 July 2019?  Do you realise that you cannot deliver training from July if you have the TAE40110 but not units TAEASS502/TAEASS502A/TAEASS502B and TAELLN411/TAELLN401A – even under supervision

If so, our streamlined TAESS00014 Enterprise Trainer - Presenting Skill Set (for TAE40110 holders) via RPL/RCC might just be the temporary solution you have been hoping for!

We are rated 4.4 / 5 on Facebook Reviews
by our past students!

The minimum qualifications required by trainers and assessors have changed and, from 1 July 2019, the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will no longer be sufficient for you to continue working as a trainer!  This is because Clause 1.14 of the Standards for RTOs 2015 and this ministerial release mandate that all trainers and assessors must hold one of the following qualifications from 1 July 2019:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor, or
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus unit TAELLN411/TAELLN401A plus unit TAEASS502/TAEASS502A/TAEASS502B, or
  • A diploma or higher level qualification in adult education.

This means that you cannot deliver training and assessment after 1 July 2019 if you are in the situation where you possess the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment but not unit TAELLN411/TAELLN401A plus unit TAEASS502/TAEASS502A/TAEASS502B.

There is a solution!

As a trainer with the superseded TAE40110 you are eligible to undertake a quick and streamlined Recogniton of Prior Learning (RPL) / Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) process for the TAESS00014 Skill Set which could be your lifeline whilst you are working towards the mandated upgrade of your qualifications.  Clauses 1.17–1.18 of the Standards for RTOs 2015 allow an RTO to engage an individual who is not a trainer or assessor to deliver training if the individual:

  • Works under the supervision of a qualified trainer (Note 1) – with the level of supervision determined by the RTO,
  • Does not determine assessment outcomes,
  • Holds one of the following training and assessment credentials:
    • TAESS00007 Enterprise Trainer - Presenting Skill Set (consisting of units BSBCMM401A and TAEDEL301A)
    • TAESS00014 Enterprise Trainer - Presenting Skill Set (consisting of units BSBCMM401 and TAEDEL301) (Note 2)
    • TAESS00008 Enterprise Trainer - Mentoring Skill Set (consisting of units TAEDEL301A and TAEDEL404A)
    • TAESS00013 Enterprise Trainer - Mentoring Skill Set (consisting of units TAEDEL301 and TAEDEL404)
    • TAESS00003 Enterprise Trainer and Assessor Skill Set (consisting of units TAEASS401B, TAEASS402B, TAEASS403B and TAEDEL301A)
    • TAESS00015 Enterprise Trainer and Assessor Skill Set (consisting of units TAEASS401, TAEASS402, TAEASS403 and TAEDEL301)

(NOTE: ALL of these skill sets include units which were not core units in the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.)

  • Has vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed, and
  • Has current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.

Notes:  (1) A qualified trainer is someone who holds the TAE40116; TAE40110 plus units TAEASS502 and TAELLN411; TAE50111; TAE50211; TAE50116; TAE50216; or a higher degree in adult education. (2) If you already hold the units BSBCMM401/BSBCMM401A Make a presentation and TAEDEL301/TAEDEL301A Provide work skill instruction you already meet this criteria. (3) This solution is not applicable for those who must determine assessment outcomes or who are unable to continue working under supervision. (4) Be sure to check with your employer before enrolling.
