Entry Requirements
It is important to have an understanding of the entry requirements included as part of the TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education & Training course. Please take the time to carefully read the below information prior to completing our online eligibility application form. hr> Those entering this qualification must meet the following prerequisite unit requirements:
Packaging rules - Total number of units is 12.
Three core units, plus
Nine elective units, of which:
at least 5 must be from the chosen specialisation group A, B or C
of the remaining elective units:
at least 2 must be chosen from the elective units listed below
up to 2 may be from any currently endorsed Certificate IV or above training package qualification or accredited course, provided that no more than 1 of these 2 units is from a Certificate IV qualification. Elective units chosen must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid vocational outcome for personnel in the VET sector working at this level.
SPECIALISATIONS
One of the following three specialisations must be used for this qualification. Advanced Training and Assessment Design and Development VET Leadership. The achievement of a specialisation will be identified on testamurs as follows:
TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Advanced Training and Assessment)
TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Design and Development)
TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET Leadership)
Advanced training and assessment
Select at least 5 elective units from Group A Advanced training and assessment, 1 of which must be:
TAEASS512 Design and develop assessment tools.
Design and development
Select at least 5 elective units from Group B Design and development, 1 of which must be:
TAEASS512 Design and develop assessment tools.
VET leadership
Select at least 5 elective units from Group C VET leadership.
