This is paid when a student is enrolled in a full qualification but has already completed RPL for 1 or more units of competency.

PRE-REQUISITES TO ASK CUSTOMER
THIS SECTION IS MANDATORY.
The customer MUST be asked the following questions PRIOR to enrolling.
If the student does have special needs, these will need to be assessed by the Academic Manager, PRIOR to enrolling. An explanation of the types of special needs support that we may be able to offer a student can be viewed by clicking the 3rd option in this list.
- In addition to the pre-enrolment support (to understand rights and obligations, fees and payment arrangements, and the services to be provided), support services may be available for the following categories of special needs based on a determination of the degree of need by the training manager:
- Significant LLN deficiency that would prevent participation and completion of the course.
- Recognised difficulties in studying and learning.
- Work hours are restrictive which would prevent the student attending training during Monday to Friday.
- Poor ability to speak or understand English.
- Financial difficulties that prevent the full payment of fees in advance. - Student suffers from a nervous/anxiety disorder.
- Inadequate clothing to participate in training.
- Student requires counselling support and advice about their personal situation.
- Students with a disability or medical condition.
- Students with visual or hearing impairment.
- Students who are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. -
DIGITAL PRE-REQUISITES
For example, during your course, you may be required to record videos using a mobile phone, upload and download files, navigate multiple sources of information and websites. Would you be able to do this?
- All students must have access to a computer (with Adobe Reader and Microsoft Word installed) and a reliable Internet connection to access their learning documentation.
Students will also require access to a video and/or audio recording device (such as a webcam or smart phone) to record themselves undertaking certain assessment activities (when required).
Students must be comfortable using technology to locate information and research topics – for example to find a copy of the Standards for RTOs 2015 using Google. They must be comfortable using the main features and functions of digital tools (such as word processing, email and printers) to complete work tasks.

LANGUAGE, LITERACY AND NUMERACY
- Have the student rate their ability as Poor, Average or High in the following areas:
Are you comfortable using your experience to reflect on ways variables impact outcomes and to identify future improvements? Are you self-directing, can manage your own learning, and can you plan and balance multiple requirements and meet deadlines?
Are you comfortable reading and interpreting a range of documentation relevant to the subject – this includes organisational policies and procedures and assessment instructions.” (Test? Locate something in our student handbook?)
You will be required to draft and develop various documents using appropriate format and language for the context and the audience. You must be comfortable writing documents such as formal documents, instructions, information updates and completing report templates.” (Test: Have any emails, forms or information they have completed show appropriate use of language, spelling and grammar for the context?)
Can the learner participate with you in verbal exchanges using clear language, and with appropriate tone and syntax to provide relevant information? Does the learner demonstrate that they can use active listening and questioning to elicit views and opinions of others?

The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment has an entry prerequisite that you possess vocational competence in your proposed area of teaching (e.g hairdressing, carpentry, welding, etc). Please note you will be required to provide evidence of this in the form of a resume or qualification.
All TAE5 students must possess the TAE40110 or TAE40116 (or TAA or BSZ Certificate)

Choose the TAE4 qualification that the student currently holds.
All TAE5 students must be engaged in (or have recently been engaged in) a workplace relating to VET-sector training and assessment activities or similar. This is particularly the case for dual degree students because they need to have the following experience and evidence to satisfy unit assessment requirements, or else have the ability to obtain this in their current (or recent prior) role.
- During your course, you will be required to provide evidence of the following experience to satisfy unit assessment requirements, or else have the ability to obtain this in your current role or organisation during your course.
• Assessed 20 candidates against at least one unit of competency. (However if this is problematic we can provide the 20 candidates for you.)
• Undertaken 50 assessments based on one or more units of competency and documented the outcomes. (However if this is problematic we can provide the assessments for you to complete.)
• Conducted a minimum of 100 hours of group facilitation
• Collect feedback of your training from at least two peers and 10 learners, and deliver feedback to your peers.

If you wish to cancel your enrolment, 25% of the total fee is an administrative fee which is non-refundable. As a result, you will only be refunded 75% of the total fee.
A full refund of the balance will be given if we receive the refund request at least two weeks before the start of the course.
A 50% refund of the balance will be given if we receive the refund request less than two weeks before the start of the course.
No refund will be granted after a course has started, although you may continue as a virtual class student.
Transfers requested more than two weeks ahead of class or session commencement incur no fee.
Requests within two weeks of a class incur a $250 fee.(Why? Because we limit our classes to 20 students and they often sell out.)

A refund of 75% of the total fee paid for face-to-face classes will be given if we receive the refund request before the start of the course.
No refund will be granted after a course has started.
No refund is available for distance learning or online courses after purchase, as these products are made available for immediate download by you as soon as you are enrolled into our system.
If you wish to cancel your enrolment within two weeks of the workshop, you will incur a cancellation fee of $150.
We will refund the price of your purchased smartRPL kit if we are unable to complete the RPL process and award your qualification, subject to you complying with our terms and conditions.
