Overview

Have you worked within the last two years as a qualified teacher, as a lecturer within higher education or as an enterprise trainer, and now want to move into adult vocational education?  This pathway is based upon recognition of prior learning (RPL) for suitably experienced training facilitators, plus gap unit training delivered via face-to-face class, interactive online iClassses+ or self-paced Distance+ learning. This option is restricted to experienced school teachers, trainers and presenters who are looking to expand their abilities, or who desire a ‘sea change’ into the world of adult education within the vocational education and training (VET) sector.

The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification allows you to train and assess all nationally-recognised qualifications (i.e., from Certificate I through to Advanced Diploma) and units of competency within your vocational areas of competence.

You must first check your eligibility for the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment via the Teachers’ RPL and gap training course by submitting our online eligibility form.
